| While a mission was still being selected for Celes and Jeice, her partner for the moment, Celes was taking the time to explore and get to know Eldonsorth, as it would seem to be her 'home' from now on. Best she get to know it well. It was also giving her time to think about her meeting over the journals with Sabin, a companion she know knew to be from her world, though there was still much about him she did not remember. She vaguely remembered his build...large, muscular, blonde like herself...did he have a beard? She couldn't quite recall. Sometimes, in her fuzzy memories he did, sometimes he did not. They had fought together, at least. She knew that. Something about a burning house? It was hard to say. But more had been steadily coming back since she had met Sabin. Celes hoped an actual meeting with him would return even more memories. She wanted to remember.
She wandered through the marketplace, looking over the various stalls and the merchandise being sold. She had no real interest in purchasing anything. I've been spending so much time sketching crud lately! If you watch my pixiv account, I just uploaded a few sketches over there...
I've been getting myself into projects and stuff! Hopefully they'll go as planned. The first one is an anthology, the second one is something we've been planning for a while for the Artist Alley, and one other project is still kind of a secret. Oh boy.
I better get my website all done and set up by 2010 for various reasons! Right now it's pretty incomplete, but it'll be located at miluda.com.

| No work projects today. Got some PDF stuff to do, plus some items to queue for publishing, but I'll put it off until the afternoon. After the dark project two weeks ago, I think I'm due some slow time. 8| It's not like I get any company-paid vacations or rewards as a contractor.
So I had a nice, leisurely morning. And a kickass breakfast.
Hell yeah, makeshift nabeyaki udon. Fried tofu, tempura shrimp, napa cabbage, green onions. For breakfast.

| If I learned anything from this semester of school, it's that I am glad I am not majoring in English. I got my mid-term grades last week and it went like this:
Accounting: A
Math: A
Philosophy: C-
English: C
Now the difference between those last two (aside from one has a minus behind it and one doesn't) is that with Philosophy, I know why I got that fucking grade and it's because I slacked off on studying logic on the test, opting to study more of the Plato dialogues instead. Whereas with English, I have gotten jack shit in terms of feedback or comments. Four assignments and none of them ever came back with a grade. In fact, only ONE of them came back period, the first essay assignment and all I got was "good idea but too abstract". No letter grade, no points, nothing. I even had a meeting two weeks ago with the teacher and all I got from it was questions about what she wanted to look for in my revisions. Then she disappeared for all of last week with a message about doing an assignment online and putting it in her folder when there IS NO GOD DAMN FOLDER TO BE FOUND!
She better be in this week because I want some damn answers considering that I was one of six people that actually brought their rough drafts for the second paper in a class about...25? 30? Hell, only 14 people showed up on that day. And if I find out that if this kid who doesn't do anything but mass-email everyone in the class about what are they supposed to write about is getting the same grade as I am, I'm gonna be kicking down doors and making holes in walls. With my face.
Outside of that, not much is going on in my life except that I bought a netbook to use at school since I get more work done there than at home, even without the desktop freezing randomly (it has been doing that since 2005 when I got it.) The sad thing is that it has more RAM and a better video card than any computer I ever owned. It could even barely run Team Fortress 2 (which I bought yesterday for $2.50) though when you enter an actual match, it crashes but that is further than I ever got on a desktop.
The one thing I can't stand is the touchpad in place of an actual mouse but I plan on getting a wireless one along with a carrying bag soon. The one thing I'm thinking about is actually giving it a name. I never did that with any gizmo I owned (unless calling it "stupid piece of shit" counts) but I already came out with one suggestion:
Gabranth. It just popped in my head because I thought of all of the hatred I had towards the desktop that keeps locking up on me (I started turning it on and off with my middle finger after awhile) and towards FedEx who was in charge of delivering it as it took them two full days after the expected delivery date for it to arrive. The first day because they came at my dad's office (we used that as the shipping address) at 7 PM, two hours after the business closed. The day after that because they couldn't find the place, despite being there just the day before!
Though I am taking suggestions, but I naturally have the right to veto anything that makes my eyes turn red and pupil-less in rage. Or if it just doesn't sound right.
Oh and last week at work, I saw the book stands across from the pharmacy were selling the first two Twilight books. I did not care for that (and I was bored), so I made like Stan Lee in his appearance in one episode of the Simpsons and covered them up with copies of Stephen King's Just After Sunset. This weekend, I found out that most of the Twilight books were visable again so either people bought all of the Just After Sunset copies or someone just reorganized them (doubtful since some Mary Higgins Clark novel I used after I ran out of King books was still in place in front of two copies of New Moon.) Either way, I didn't have time to check.

| Working at a place where holiday products are already being put up, I've been thinking a lot about the approaching gift season. I've bought about 90% of my presents (the remainder being for relatives, really), and I've made my wish list for the year.
As usual, this is a general guide—no pressure!—that should hopefully help my Secret Santas if they are out of ideas. That's why this post is unlocked/open, actually. This is also a list for myself as well, a "To Buy" list that I work towards getting during the rest of the year.
- Coffee. After switching from instant to grinds, I've been trying different brands. Folgers is soso. Maxwell House is... also soso. May upgrade to some Tim Horton's stuff next. I wouldn't mind trying some fancier brands. I have a single-cup brewer that I bought for $20 at Canadian Tire that does a fairly decent job. Wooo.
- Nice shirts with collars. For work, since I don't have enough of those. Has to be black or blue, and preferably button up/blouse-y. I like solid colours and am a women's size small. Polo t-shirts also work.
- Laptop lap desk. Still starin at em! Have not taken the plunge yet, even though I've been interested in getting one for a while. Has to be large enough for an XPS 1330, oh my poor lemony laptop. I bought a lap desk. '3'a $16 at Chapters YAY DISCOUNT.
- Cosmode issue 30 (November) I'm iiiiiin it, but haven't justified the purchase to myself. 8U~~~

- Aromatherapy kit / Candles / Bubble bath stuff
I don't have an aromatherapy kit, but have always wanted to indulge on one! Candles and bubble bath or soap stuff is always appreciated. =w= I enjoy just about every scent, but jasmine, berry and ocean ones are particularly nice.
- Some sort of nice but practical way to hold back hair
Because I have really long hair, and I could use some alternatives to my ol hair ties!
- A locket. I've been looking at ones for cosplay, but I've since bought one for that purpose. It's got me seriously wanting one for everyday use, though! It doesn't matter if it's gold or silver toned, or if it's oval or round, but it should be elegant, not too elaborate, and of course be able to open and hold photos. I like larger ones, about an inch or longer in diameter.
